He not only kept us informed with regular updates, he made many suggestions which were implemented and it looks great!! Despard Contracting had barely three weeks between large-scale commercial jobs and I guess our timing was right. Desi found the time to come out on his personal time to look over our small and varied home repairs, from interior framing and drywall to a complete tear-down and replacement of a second-story wooden deck, railings and stairs, and a       lengthy veranda-style roof. Desi took calls at all hours and responded with positivity and politeness; a nice guy with a lot of irons in the fire, he found two equally ethical gents to do the work for us. My Husband Geoff and I cannot say enough about this team of professionals, from the first consultation to the finished product. Desi is an excellent commutator, he does not miss a beat when it comes to making sure the project goes smoothly and fun! We had a lot of good laughs over this past year.

Our projects started out with a base for a cement pad for our pergola and then led to cleaning up an acre of overgrowth.
Our property looks beautiful!

Our second project was on a larger scale as we had a 24x30 shop built. This was a challenge because of the landscape we were building on required a geotechnical engineer to ensure we had the proper foundation. Then it was smooth sailing.
The shop is absolutely gorgeous. Fully dry walled and painted inside for that professional look.

The attention to detail was so appreciated. When we first sat down I had a rough drawing of what I wanted, they worked with me to bring that to life, set realistic expectations and make it even better than I imagined.
They made our vision come to life and it was everything we hoped for!

I’m so thankful for the communication I received throughout the entire process. It really made it stress free and I felt confident knowing I could depend on them.

I hired Desi and his team in spring 2023 to build a boulder retaining wall and terrace my sloped back yard. The schedule and price were clearly communicated, and despite it being a difficult project with tight space to work with, they delivered it on time and on budget. Professional, on time, clean, safe and great spirits to work with.

They provided everything for the job, correct machine size, trucking, a trailer for larger infrastructure material hauling. The equipment was right for the job and it went smooth and finished on schedule.
